An Effective Meditation In Only 5 Minutes

Do you feel like you are always tired? A bit distracted? Easily overwhelmed? Stressed out?

Using a very simple meditation technique, you may be able to overcome some of these feelings.  Meditation doesn’t have to be complicated!

Challenge yourself.  Spend 5 minutes a day for one week with this technique, and see if it improves your mood and energy level!

Many people feel that meditation has to be a long, drawn out process. When people think of meditation, they often see visions of people chanting in a lotus position, listening to relaxing music or white noise,  trying their best to connect with some mystical “third eye”.  Meditation carries with it a “new age” cliché. Set all of those expectations aside, because all you need is 5 minutes of your time, and you don’t need any expensive equipment or music.

Introducing meditation in to your day will not only help you calm your nerves and relieve stress and anxiety, but it will also help you relax, and gives you the moment of peace that you need.  It will also help you to reconnect with yourself mentally, emotionally and physically.

To get started, all you need is a simple timer.  Meditation requires you to focus on yourself.  Set the timer, and forget it until it goes off. Let the timer worry about time. The timer can be set to any length of time, but a simple relaxing meditation can easily be accomplished in 5 minutes.
